April is National Poetry Month - woo hoo!
Sooooooooooo, what's your favorite poem? (I know you have one.)
Mine is Time Tested Beauty Tips by Sam Levenson. (I've posted it before.) Well, it's one of my favorites because, let's face it, I have quite a few ones I LOVE.
In fact, in my classroom this year, we're participating in the Great Poetry Race (inspired from an IRA article) - students will have one poem every couple of days to read to as many people as they can (to practice fluency and expression). I have yet to figure out the prizes... But it should be fun!
