JOY

"...Everyone deserves a life of fun and joy, and I think we brought fun and joy to those people at the Cancer Treatment Center." (Erica)

These words were written by one of my students in response to our singing and signing field trip to the Cancer Treatment Center yesterday. All of the students surprised me with the thoughtfulness of their responses, but this one particularly stood out to me because of the part about everyone deserving a life of fun and joy. After all, we're only on this earth a short time (relatively speaking) - while at times we lose sight of the basic joys and love of life, we need to remember to constantly keep these things well within our reach.
