"Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child will not enter it."

As a teacher, Saturday's Gospel could not be more appropriate. Today's reading acts as a gentle reminder that we are all called to be children in the eyes (and kingdom) of God. What more important work is there, then, than raising children in the rituals and practices of the Church? Only by being like children ourselves are we able to truly be role models for those children we are blessed with in our classrooms every day.
