Time, Time, Time

I've lost count how many times each day I look up to the clock and sit down until the students are ready to keep going with a lesson or activity or transition. I want my students to understand they shouldn't feel rushed about finishing things, but it's also important to budget time so it's not wasted.


Then, I remember I teach 9 and 10 year-old children. The whole actions have consequences thing is still forming in many of them. Just have to keep trying, I suppose. We'll get there...in time...
